Those Dollar Tree wood Easter eggs aren’t just for making EGGS! I made a Bumblebee Swag Banner with them over the summer, and of course this cutie Wood Egg Chicks Shelf Sitter too.

If you don’t have the Dollar Tree Wood Eggs, in The CRafterparty, I always provide a printable paper template with anything that we make out of wood, so that you can cut it out of cardboard if you need to.

We embellished the bottom with Spanish moss and added some cute little wood Easter eggs that we speckled them with black paint.

The little chicken “wings” used to “hold” the chalkboard sign is simply made from cardboard.

The face looks all fancy and hand painted, but it’s really simple to do! Anyone can do it, I show you EXACTLY how to make cute faces like this in the group.

When you make things out of cardboard, you most likely will need a template, unless you are good at hand drawing things (I am NOT). In The CRafterparty, I always provide a printable paper template with anything that we make out of cardboard, just like this stocking template you see below.

It’s amazing what you can do with cardboard! Once this DIY Christmas Stocking is all made, you’d have no idea it started as the cardboard stocking you see below.

A cardboard stocking.

We added some Vintage Santa scrapbook paper, burlap and fabric patches, and excelsior at the heel.

We added grungy faux fur to the top of the stocking, and made a messy fabric bow to go on the top.

Of course we had to add a cute “JOY” hangtag with a rusty bell for good measure.

When you make things out of cardboard, you most likely will need a template, unless you are good at hand drawing things (I am NOT). In The CRafterparty, I always provide a printable paper template with anything that we make out of cardboard, just like this mitten template you see below.

We made both Cardboard Christmas Mittens identical, except one of them has a vintage gold Christmas ornament hanging from the cuff……

And one has a Kraft paper “Merry” hangtag.

We made a grungy furry cuff to give it an antiqued vintage-y vibe to go along with the Vintage Santa scrapbook paper, and stuck some greenery and berries out of the top of each mitten cuff.

Of course we had to add a cute messy fabric bow with excelsior to each hanging mitten!

I used a 9″ x 9″ Butterfly Canvas from the Dollar Tree, but really you could use any type of frame that you have, and any size. Just make your manger a proportional size to your frame.

I went with a very neutral, rustic, and simplistic vibe for my DIY Dollar Tree Nativity Set. With a black frame, stained jenga blocks and background, and music sheet paper.

I chose “OH HOLY NIGHT” for the words above Baby Jesus’s manger, but you could write anything that you want. “Jesus is the reason for the season” would be cute as well.

The gold star on top is just presh. I dirtied it up with some Antique Wax so that it went with the rustic feel of the project.

I don’t think I am that great at hand painting anything, especially faces. But with the techniques I teach in The CRafterparty, I make it super easy for ANYONE to do, and break it down step by step.

Of course I had to add some cute extra details like this “Feeling Frosty” kraft paper hang tag and snowflake.

You could definitely buy large pom poms, but we made our own using yarn and a pom pom maker! You can use cardboard to make your own pom poms too, super easy.

When we made this inside my subscription group, I gave the ladies a choice to do either a FALL one or a HALLOWEEN one. This could easily be mixed up by using a Dollar Tree foam skull and halloween florals, just like we did 2 years ago when we made this skull centerpiece.

Obviously, I went with Fall and I am so happy I did!

We painted the pumpkin white but used a baking soda technique to get it textured like you see here.

I am doing a gold, neutral, and leopard print fall theme this year, so I went with gold lines on my pumpkin.

These gorgeous fall florals are from Walmart and this is the thing that started this whole fall theme! I saw them and fell in LOVE!I added some leopard print leaves from Hobby Lobby, but I bought those a few years back and haven’t seen them this year.

I went with a small “Hello Fall” cutout and it’s hard to tell but it’s got a gold shimmer to it to help it stand out.

For the background of this one, we did a new technique…..a FAUX SHIPLAP. I just love how this looks! Really jazzes up a boring painted background.

I chose a pretty fall pumpkin scrapbook paper with none other than white sunflowers, my fave. I pulled the blue grey out of the paper by painting the background of the pumpkin with a similar color.

We decorated the pumpkin stem with a simple raffia bow and a “Welcome Fall” wood bead garland that is also from Dollar Tree.

And finally, hung it with a thick Jute rope hanger.

This season (it was last year at the time of writing this), I was obSESSed with Teal in alllll of my fall crafts and decor. Don’t get me wrong, I still abso-freaking-lutely love it, I am just really into neutral, gold, and leopard print this fall instead.

My taste and style is ever changing. I go through phases with what I like and how I craft. But one thing that NEVER changes, is my love for Sunflowers, Rainbow, and Leopard Print.

This Fall LOVE Door Hanger may not be your traditional fall decor, but it sure is cute. In fact, it was actually inspired by a T-Shirt I saw on a Shein Ad on Facebook! Not the first time I was inspired by clothes to craft.

For the background, I decided to go with the Crackle Technique. If you’ve never done this before, I have a full detailed tutorial of exactly how to get the crackle effect using just paint and glue!

Combined some different and fun coordinating colors and patterns for each of the letters in LOVE.

Actually, I do! And I lied, I guess it was a sweatshirt, not a T-shirt. I found it in the archives of my idea board (I use Trello to digitally organize my inspo and ideas). I wasn’t lying when I said I get inspiration from EVERYWHERE!
