How to Make a DIY Dollar Tree Layered Frame
I made this Dollar Tree Layered Lemon Frame on video, so you can WATCH the step by step tutorial HERE or right below.
This one is so easy to make that it almost doesn’t even deserve a “tutorial”! But I’ll give ya the run down anyway because I wouldn’t want anything stopping you from whipping up one of these Lemon Layered Frames for yourself!
First were just gonna cut the piece of lemon fabric the size of your black frame and stick it in there. Remember, this doesn’t have to be lemon to be cute! You could do this for any season or Holiday, I’m thinking Patriotic next?!
Now paint your wooden pallet board all white, and then once its dried, glue that framed lemon right there front and center. You may want to leave a tad bit more room at the top for your bow, but that just depends how big your frame and board are.
Now for the Scrap Ribbon Bow. To make this bad boy just cut a whole bunch of coordinating ribbon and fabric into 5″-6″ strips. The more variety in size and texture, the more fabulous and messy the bow! That’s how I gave it the name “Scrap Ribbon Bow”, because when I stumbled upon this bow I just used a bunch of pieces of scraps from my stash.
Layer the strips of ribbon on top of each other in an “X” formation, in no particular order or pattern. Tie a piece of string around the center as tight as possible, or if you have a zip tie, that’s even better!
There ya have it! An adorable Lemon Layered Frame with a Dollar Tree plain black frame! Don’t you just LOVE it with all the other Lemon Decor we whipped up this week?
You could take this same idea and make a layered frame for virtually any season or Holiday. How cute would a Patriotic one be since July 4th is coming right up!? Are you going to make this Lemon Themed Layered Frame this Summer? If you do, I’d love to see it.
