Hey, Pumpkin! If you’re looking for the perfectly cute little DIY decor for your Fall tiered tray, look no further! This easy wood bead pumpkin can be made in any color or style to match your fall decor, it looks adorbs with a wood bead garland, and the best part is it won’t break the bank!
If you have been watching and reading this fall, than you know I’m a bit obsessed with the Teal in all of my Fall crafts and decor this year. It’s my new fave, besides Leopard print of course. It all started with the pop of teal in this Country Stick Pumpkin, and it just snowballed from there.
Now here we are making this entire wood bead pumpkin Teal! If this doesn’t match your style you could of course stick with the traditional orange. Or you could even leave the wood beads raw for a total farmhouse feel. Maybe add a lambs ear to the stem? The choice is yours my crafty friend.
When I chose this project for my Facebook Live, I couldn’t decide between this wood bead pumpkin, and a Twine Pumpkin, so naturally I decided to make both! Which one do you like better below?
I made this cutie Wood Bead Pumpkin using the smaller wood beads (7-8 mm), but you could totally use larger beads and it would still work. It may give it a little bit of a different look, but if the larger is all you’ve got I say go for it!

How to Make a Mini Pumpkin with Small Wood Beads
I made this adorable little Wood Bead Pumpkin on video, so you can WATCH the step by step tutorial HERE or click on the picture right below.
Since this Wood Bead Pumpkin was made live on my Facebook page, I don’t have step by step photos showing you exactly how to make this so I encourage you to watch the REPLAY. Of course I’ll do my best to walk you through how I made it since it’s super duper easy!
First, you’ll cut 4 pieces of floral wire, about a foot long. Don’t worry about if they are too long, we’re gonna use the extra to twist up as the stem later. Lay them down criss crossing them in the center like a wagon wheel would look. Twist them around each other so that they are connected at the center like below.
Paint your wood beads (or you could leave them plain), by putting them in a bowl with a little bit of water and paint and swirling them around. The little wood beads are too small to put on a skewer and paint that way, so the bowl method works better.
After your wood beads are dry, string them onto the floral wire. I didn’t count them ahead of time I just strung them on until it looked like enough on each piece, and then counted them to make sure they were even. Just eyeball it, but I think I had about 15 wood beads on each of the pieces of wire.
Now twist the ends of the wire together in pairs of 2, so you end up with 4 total pairs.
Bring the pairs up to meet at the center and twist.
Use the extra wire at the top to twist, twist, twist into a curly cue stem.
Add a mini Twine shoestring bow and you’ve got yourself the perfect little Fall Tiered Tray Wood Bead Pumpkin!
These adorable little Wood Bead Pumpkins are so easy to make, you can whip a couple of them up in no time. And how cute does it look next to the Country Stick Pumpkin and Twine Pumpkins we made!
