Nothing says Fall like some yellow, orange, and white Kraft Paper Candy Corn! This project is 3 of my favorite things, it’s easy, its fun, and its affordable. DIY Fall Decor for the win!
I’ll be totally honest…..I do not LOVE Candy Corn. *gasp*
Do not love eating it that is! But decorating with it is a totally different story. How stinkin’ cute is this Brown Kraft Paper Candy Corn with the rest of my Fall decor!?
Affordable is my number one rule when it comes to crafting. Hence why I always shop at the good ‘ole Dollar (25) tree. But this project takes affordable to the next level! I think one of these Kraft Paper Candy Corns cost about .25 cents to make…if that!
These candy corns got my wheels turning thinking what else can we make with Kraft paper? I’m thinking cute little ghosts next!
For now, let me show you how to make these cutie Candy Corns.

How to Make a Kraft Paper Candy Corn
I made this adorable Brown Kraft Paper Candy Corn on video, so you can WATCH it on YouTube or click on the picture right below.
First things first, draw a rounded edge triangle on a piece of brown Kraft paper. Cut that out, and then trace it to make another one.
This way, you know they will be the same size.
Next, paint the orange, yellow, and white sections. I googled it, and Yellow goes on the bottom widest part, then orange, and then white at the tip.
I just freehand painted, it’s ok if it’s not perfect.
After they are dry (either air dry or use a heat gun) you are going to want to bed, fold, crumple, and roll the Kraft paper in your hands. This makes it so that it’s not so stiff and gives it a more worn and distressed look.
Now glue them back to back, about 90% of the way around. Make sure to leave enough room to stuff them in the next step. I put a nice thick line of glue so you get the seam around the edge.
Now rip and crumple up a bunch of brown Kraft paper for your stuffing.
Stuff that bad boy as much as you can without ripping it.
Now glue it shut! Voila!
Time to decorate them a bit. Make a hangtag using a small rectangle of white muslin fabric. Just cut a piece and then hole punch a circle at the end.
Use your acrylic stamp set to stamp “Trick” on one and “Treat” on the other.
Dirty that white fabric up with some Antique Wax to give it a distressed grunge look.
Tie it around the top of your Kraft Paper Candy Corn with a piece of twine or string. I did a simple shoelace bow.
Add some raffia with a raffia bow, by taking a long strand and tying it into a small bow. Then take one of the long ends and wrap and tie it around your Brown Paper Candy Corn.
Grunge up the whole rest of your Candy Corn with some antique wax as little or as much as you like. And you’re left with something that you would never in a million years know was made with a brown paper bag!
