Gotta love the good ‘ole Dollar (25) Tree! But don’t forget to keep an open mind when you’re shopping there. This craft was made with one of the Halloween cards, but I didn’t decide to use it as a card at all!
How stinkin’ cute does this Trick or Treat Frame look with that adorable little BOO ghost craft!? Ahhh I just love it!
DT makes some of the absolute cutest cards, so next time you’re there pick a few up, take them apart, and get to crafting with them. Next thing you know you’ll have an adorable Trick or Treat Layered frame like you see below!
I’m a sucker for a fun and unique color palette for Halloween (or other Holidays too). Heck, I did an entire rainbow Halloween theme 2 years ago and made this adorable Rainbow Bling Coffin banner, but I do love that this Dollar Tree Trick or Treat frame has the traditional Halloween colors! (and that spOOky googly eye doesn’t hurt)
Sometimes ya just gotta go traditional. So today, that’s what we’ll do!

How to Make a Dollar Tree Trick or Treat Frame
I made this super cute Halloween Trick or Treat Frame on video, so you can WATCH it or click on the picture right below.
I used a wooden clipboard frame from Michaels. They sell them year round and they are only .99! I love it because it comes with the little stand so it stays up on it’s own.
First I painted the entire thing all white.
Then I painted a slew of Jenga (tumbling tower) blocks all black. I framed the outside of my card first, to see how many I needed to paint and that ended up being 12.
Next just glue your Halloween Trick or Treat card to the front of the white painted frame using hot glue, and then glue the Jenga block ‘frame’ around it.
If you happened to have a plain black frame, you could use that as well, and just stick the card inside the frame and glue the whole thing to the wood clipboard. That would actually be much easier, but I didn’t have a plain black frame so Jenga blocks it it.
We can’t forget the big beautiful messy and spOOky bow! To make this messy bow you are going to want a variety of color, size, texture, and patterned ribbon and fabric. The more variety the better! Cut them into 7-9″ strips (don’t worry you can trim up your bow once it’s all done).
Layer them in an “X” formation criss crossing them on top of each other. Don’t worry about using a lot of ribbon, the bigger and better because I like big bows and I cannot lie!
Now pinch the middle and tie a zip tie around the center and pull it as tight as you can. Glue the bow to your project FIRST and then fluff fluff fiddle and fluff some more. I like to spread out the ribbon pieces and then trim up a bunch in the front, so that you can see the rest of the ribbon behind it. See how my front pieces are shorter?
Finish it off with a jumbo googly eye right in the center of the bow and you’ve got yourself the cutest little Dollar Tree Trick or Treat layered frame that ya ever did see!
