When you see something in Hobby Lobby that you just Love for your Easter Decor, but you don’t love price tag, you make a copycat version of it yourself! DIY Easter Bunny and Egg decor is the best decor! Say it with me…”I can make that!”
I know you’ve done it before too. Shopping in a store. See something super cute. Check out the price tag. CRINGE. And say “I can make that!”
Well that’s exactly how it went with this adorable little Easter Bunny and Egg decor that I saw at Hobby Lobby.
With some Dollar Tree wooden eggs, scrapbook paper/fabric, and some good ‘ole fashioned cardboard, this copycat version was brought to life! The original Hobby Lobby version was about $19.99 (full price), but I made mine for under $2, but really less than that because some of the stuff like the fabric was scraps from my stash! If it’s NEARLY free, it’s for me!

How to Make a Copycat Hobby Lobby Easter Decor
I made this adorable Copycat Hobby Lobby Easter Bunny decor on video, so you can WATCH the step by step tutorial HERE.
For this one I just happened to have 2 wooden eggs that I pulled off of a Dollar Tree Easter sign, but I didn’t have a Bunny. So cardboard to the rescue! Just google “Bunny Template” and grab a free image from Google to print, cut and trace onto your cardboard.
Once you cut that our, you’ll just trace the shape onto your scrapbook paper and then Mod Podge it on. Same with the two eggs, make one Gingham and one leopard print.
Next just glue them all together and use a popsicle stick to prop it up like you would a picture frame. If you need to, you can then use a 5 gallon paint stick as the “base”, but I ended up not needing to do that since they stayed together and stood up on their own. Add a little raffia bow in the Bunny’s ears and you’ve got yourself a Hobby Lobby Copycat for about $2!
