Dollar Tree Calendars are not just for keeping track of the days! Take the Farm Fresh Christmas Trees December print and make a beautiful piece of DIY Christmas decor to hang on your wall this holiday season!

If you have not crafted with the Dollar Tree calendars you are missing out my friend. Go RUN to DT and grab you some calendars because the possibilities are endless.

Normally, I prefer to craft with the minis on the back of the calendar. I even did an entire week of “back of the calendar crafts” last fall, but this time I used the whole big shabang!

Of course you don’t HAVE to use the Dollar Tree Farm Fresh Christmas Trees Calendar print to make this project. You can use any type of print you have. You can use a piece of scrapbook paper, or even find a free printable online.

Use what you have and get creative.

Supplies Needed to Make a Dollar Tree Farm Fresh Christmas Trees Decor

• (4) 12″ Paint Sticks
• Cardboard 12″ square
• Dollar Tree Calendar print
• 20mm Wood beads
• Twine
• Mini Buffalo Check Bow
• Ribbon for bow
• Snowflake embellishment
• Faux Snow
• White paint
• Antique wax
• Popsicle sticks
• Mod Podge
• Hot glue gun

How to Makeover a Dollar Tree Farm Fresh Christmas Trees Decor

Start this project off by cutting a piece of cardboard for the backing thats the same size as the Dollar Tree calendar print (12″ x 12″). Then Mod Podge the Farm Fresh Christmas Trees print to the cardboard backing.

Stain your 4 paint sticks using Antique Wax or stain before painting them so that the dark wood shows through in the next step.

To get the distressed paint look, I took a popsicle stick and wiped and smeared the white paint over the paint sticks, rather than using a paint brush. Just dip the popsicle stick in the paint, and smear, not worrying about getting every inch of the paint stick painted white.

Jazz up your calendar print and add some faux snow to each Christmas Tree using Mod Podge and then glue mini bow to the top of each.

Glue your paint sticks as a frame around your Calendar print/cardboard.

Stain an even number of wood beads with Antique Wax and string them onto a piece of twine to make a wood bead hanger. Glue the hanger to the back of the frame, using popsicle sticks to reinforce the hold.

Make a cute and easy bow to glue on the top left corner of the frame. To make this bow I just made a loop of the mesh ribbon and glued to secure. Then a smaller loop of the red check ribbon.

Lay the larger loop on the bottom, the red check loop on top of that, and then a small strip of buffalo check ribbon on top of that. Pinch the middle and tie a string around all 3 ribbons and embellish the center with a small snowflake.

I think this turned out just darling and it looks fabulous on my wall next to my Snowman Wood Bead Garland!
