Add a little spooky to your DIY Halloween decor with this Dollar Tree Beware Sign! The black, grey, and white ombre is easy enough to do, but turns out amazing enough that when you hang in on your front door, it will keep all the ghosts and goblins away!
Halloween is one of my very favorite holidays to craft and decorate for. But lets be real, I say that at the start of every.single.holiday. And I blame it all on the Dollar Tree!
When they start coming out with their seasonal craft supplies (super early), it just gets me so pumped that I want to start crafting Halloween in July! Maybe not quite July, but it was September when we made this so I got a good start on the crafting early for this one!
Don’t let the Ombre scare you away with this one, it’s what I call “lazy ombre” and anyone….and I mean ANYONE, can do it. I’ve got the whole technique on video so I’ll show you exactly how I do it to get this fun and spooky look on this Halloween “Beware” sign.
I’m not a huge fan of the color orange, so I decided to keep this one all black and white, and that way it will balance out the orange I decided to throw into the BOO Ghost decor we made last week! Trust me when I say “Orange is NOT the new black” LOL!

How to Make a Dollar Tree Beware Sign for Halloween
I made this fun and spooky Dollar Tree Beware Sign on video, so you can WATCH the step by step tutorial HERE.
This was such a fun and easy project we did on Facebook live. We took a round Dollar Tree Wood sign and did a black, grey, and white ombre on the back of it, using a spray water bottle to help blend the paints in between colors.
Then we took some DIY wood cutout stickers of a sparkly haunted house (because what haunted house isn’t sparkly?), and some bats and glued them on top, with a galvanized metal “BEWARE” underneath that .
Then added some fake spiderwebs and a creepy little spider to decorate the word “beware”, and finished it off by gluing some nautical rope all around the rim.
Hang your Dollar Tree Beware sign with some black and white bakers twine and you got yourself spooky round door hanger that’s just perfect for Halloween!
The only problem is if you’re making yours in September like me, you may have to wait just a bit to hang it up or you’ll be getting The Look from the neighbors!
