The only thing prettier than a piece of coastal nautical decor, is PATRIOTIC coastal nautical decor. This Dollar Tree DIY Patriotic Flag Anchor can be made on a budget, and although it’s perfect for celebrating 4th of July at your beach house, it can stay up all year round too! Ahoy Matey’s!
I saw a Patriotic Flag Anchor on Wayfair, and I love love loved it, but I did NOT love the price tag. So what is one to do? We make it!!
This nautical decor is so high end, it was the perfect summer project for my private subscription group, The CRafterparty.
I’m gonna be totally honest. I like my Dollar Tree version of this Patriotic American Flag Anchor waaaayyyyyy better then the $59 Wayfair one! Jus’ Sayin’…….

We used paint sticks as the background.
Added a cut little Dollar Tree starfish to the end of the rope, so it looked like it got pulled up with the anchor when it was pulled from the sea!
I kept the flag orientation by doing the top of the anchor with the blue and white stars, and the bottom of the anchor with red and white stripes.
Of course we wrapped it with Jute rope.
I went with the white nautical rope for hanger, with a knot at each end to really elevate the way it looked.
We even burned the ends of the rope to finish it off!
Isn’t this just the most gorgeous piece of patriotic coastal nautical decor that you’ve ever seen!?
