If you’ve got one dollar and a bunch of sticks from your yard you can make this adorable Dollar Tree Wooden Stick Pumpkin. This Dollar Tree pumpkin makeover will up the ante on your DIY fall decor and take it from drab to Rustic Country Chic!
Even though it’s only August, I am on a total role with the Fall DIY crafts and decor! We’ve been making a ton live over on my Facebook page, and besides this Wooden Stick Pumpkin, the Sunflower Pumpkin Reverse Canvas has got to be my fave.
Sticks are one of my very favorite craft supplies. Don’t underestimate their power to make adorable things! They can act as just the stem for a Fabric Sunflower, or they can be the star of the show like they are in this Dollar Tree Stick Pumpkin.
The best part about crafting with sticks? They’re free!
Now the front of this Dollar Tree pumpkin stand was super cute already, don’t get me wrong. I didn’t want to cover up, so what’s a girl to do? Remake the back so you have a double sided pumpkin of course!
It wouldn’t be a Manda Panda Project if it didn’t have a Sunflower to tie it all together! That Sunflower and Teal color is a match made in Crafty Heaven!

How to Remake a Dollar Tree Pumpkin Stand with Sticks
I made this fabulous Country Chic Wooden Stick Pumpkin on video, so you can WATCH the step by step tutorial HERE or click on the picture right below.
This Country Dollar Tree Stick Pumpkin is so easy to make, you can whip a couple of them up in no time. You probably don’t even need a tutorial to make this but I’ll walk you through how I did it!
First things first, get as many sticks as you think you’ll need and cut them various lengths that are long enough to cover the surface of the pumpkin. A pair of garden shears work great for this.
Now cover the surface of your wooden pumpkin with a layer of burlap. This isn’t really necessary, but that way if there are gaps between the sticks you’ll see the burlap underneath instead of the plain wood. I was happy I decided to do this step once I was done.
Start gluing on those sticks! Use the longer ones that you have first, and then fill in the gaps with smaller pieces.
Now to decorate! I cut a wine cork in half so it had a flat back and glued it to the top as my stem. Added a lattice and sheer teal “bow” and some raffia of course! I wouldn’t even call it a bow, I just laid down one strip of lattice about 6 inches long, then crisscrossed 2 pieces of Teal ribbon on top and tied a piece of string around the center. Voila!
Glue 2 little pine cones to each end of a piece of twine, and drape it around the stick pumpkins “stem”. Add a Sunflower to the center of the bow for the finishing touch and you’ve got yourself the cutest little wooden stick pumpkin you ever did see!
There we have it! You’ve got yourself a Rustic Country Stick Pumpkin to add to your DIY Fall decor this year! Sure it was cute straight out of the Dollar Tree, but now it’s just adorbs! And boy does this one look fabulous with my Sunflower and Pumpkin Reverse Canvas!
