How to Make a Kraft Paper Ghosts for Halloween
I made these adorable Brown Paper Bag Ghosts on video, so you can WATCH it or click on the picture right below.
First you freehand draw and cut 2 rounded triangles onto the Kraft paper. I say freehand because you you really don’t want it to be a perfect triangular shape.
Cut those out, and then trace them to make their matching counterparts. This way when you glue them together they will be the same size front and back.
Paint them all white, and then dry them completely. Crumple and bend and fold the paper afterwards to make it more worn and malleable.
Now glue them back to back, about 90% of the way around. Make sure to leave enough room to stuff them in the next step. I put a nice thick line of glue so you get the seam around the edge.
Now rip and crumple up a bunch of brown Kraft paper for your stuffing and stuff that bad boy as much as you can without ripping it. Glue the hole shut and you’re done with the hardest part!
Use a black paint pen or sharpie to draw spooky oval eyes. For the girl, I decided to add some cute eyelashes. And for the boy, well he got wonky eyes! I decided to make my Kraft Paper Ghosts mouthless, but you can give yours a mouth if you want to.
To decorate the girl ghost I made a small black and white bow by cutting some strips of ribbon and pom pom trim, layering them in an X formation, and then tyinga piece of string around the center.
Then I have her the word BOO, with some Dollar Tree stickers I had in my stash.
Instead of a bow, the boy ghost got a bow-tie. I wrapped some black and white bakers twine around his “neck” and then took 3 strips of ribbon, laid them on top of each other together and then pinched them in the middle and tied. I added a teeny button for extra cuteness!
Look at these cutesy Kraft Paper Ghosts! They are way too cute to be spooky!
I think they look just darling with the Dollar Tree BOO sign that we made Live over on Facebook!
