It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with these adorable Miniature Foam Cone Christmas Trees! These super easy to make DIY decor trees make the perfect addition your red, black, and white themed Christmas Tiered Tray. Tis’ the Season!
I am on a kick this Christmas Holiday season. A red, black, and white kick that is! I am totally veering from the typical rustic Christmas crafts and decor that I usually do and I’m loving it! It means that I may have to retire some of my previous years DIY decor, but hey….change is good!
There are a few things I made last year that will fit in with my new “Theme” like the fabric Christmas Trees that I made, both NO Sew and HAND sewn versions! They were one of my favorite projects form last year so I’m quite happy I’ll be decorating with them again.
I’m not gonna lie, all the crafts that I make don’t always make it into my actual decor. A lot of them are just for fun, so I always love when I make things that I actually use!
The Red, Black and White is just so appealing to the eye! What do you think of that red one though? Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Can someone say fishnet stockings!? These mini foam cone trees will look just adorable on a Christmas Tiered Tray.

How to Make Red, Black and White Mini Cone Trees
I made these adorable little Foam Cone Christmas Trees on video, so you can WATCH the step by step tutorial HERE or click on the picture right below.
Now I know what you’re probably thinking…”Why on earth is she in a red prom dress and crazy black wig?” Well, the answer to that is that I made these Mini Foam Cone Trees live on Halloween right before me and The Boys went Trick or Treating!
There’s nothing like some Crafting all dressed up as Lydia from BeetleJuice. B-T-Dubs, our costumes were SUPER duper amazing and I’ll have a blog post coming for them soon!
Since these Miniature Foam Cone Christmas Trees were made live on my Facebook page, I don’t have step by step photos showing you exactly how to make this, so I encourage you to watch the REPLAY. But honestly, they were so easy to make I think you could totally do it without a tutorial at all.
First things first, I have one major tip to make these much easier to make and that is to start at the tip top of the foam cone, not at the base. It’s much neater and easier to wrap from top to bottom.
Start by putting a dab of glue at the top and then securing the yarn or bakers twine, and then just wrap wrap wrap all the way around. You can add dabs of glue every now and then as you make your way down the cone, but you don’t need to glue around the entire thing. When you get to the bottom of the cone, add another dab of glue to hold it in place. That’s it!
For the white velvety yarn tree, wrap a strip of pom pom trim from top to bottom for decoration, positioning it so that there’s one red pom pom right on the top as the “tree topper”.
For the black and white bakers twine tree, glue on some red gem stones sporadically around the tree and a little silver start right on top. Adorable!
The red mesh ribbon tree was a bit trickier than the other two. I wrapped in around like I did the Twine/Yarn trees, but in retrospect I would have cut strips and glued them up and down lengthwise. You will have to play with it a bit to get it right, but in the end it turned out super cute! Glue a crystal snowflake and a buffalo check mini bow on top and cuteness overload sets in!
Mini. Adorable. Cheap. Score!
