All crafts and decor are cuter in mini version and this Mini Jenga Block Bookstack is no exception! I made this one to go on my Sunflower Bee themed Tiered Tray this Summer but this simple Dollar Tree DIY could be adapted for any themed Tiered Tray! The Crafty possibilities are endless!
This Spring/Summer I vowed to handmake everything for my gorgeous Sunflower and Bumblebee styled tiered tray! That mission has been completed and this adorable Sunflower Mini Jenga Block Bookstack came out of it!
Mini decor is just oh so darn cute, I’m kind of just a little bit obsessed with it. Well, that and gigantic things. Basically anything that is much larger or much smaller than its normal intended size LOL! This Mini Jenga Block Bookstack is no exception!
If you have not been crafting with the Dollar Tree version of Jenga Blocks called “Tumbling Tower Blocks” than you are missing out my crafty friend. There are so many uses for these wooden little blocks, and this Bookstack is just one of them.
If you follow along on Facebook, than you may have seen the bajillion crafts we did for our Sunflower tiered tray series! Seriously, it was a blast. How to Make a Mini Jenga Block Bookstack for your Tiered Tray
I made this adorable little Sunflower Bee Jenga Block Bookstack on video, so you can WATCH me decorate it HERE or click on the picture right below.
To make this bookstack the first thing you’re going to do is glue your blocks into 3 sets of 2 blocks side by side. Each set will be one of the “books”.
One set of two you’ll paint white, one set of two you’ll paint yellow, and the last set of two you’ll stain or paint brown. Once they are dried, glue the books on top of eachother to make the “stack”.
Use a fine tip sharpie to write your book titles down the “spine”. I chose “Rise, Shine & Bloom”, to go along with my Sunflower Tiered Tray theme.
Next, glue a small piece of buffalo check ribbon around the stack as if it’s holding the books together, and add a small sunflower embellishment to the front.
Lastly, take your fine tip sharpie and make a trail of black dots for the path of where the Bumblebee flies, and glue your Bee to the top of the Jenga Block Bookstack.
This mini bookstack is the perfect compliment to the middle tier of my Sunflower Tiered Tray! Make sure to check out all the other amazing little projects we made for it HERE.
