How to Make a Rudolph Reverse Canvas Oversized Ornament
I made this Mini Rudolph Reverse Canvas on video, so you can WATCH it or click on the picture right below.
Even though this canvas is small, you will reverse it just like you would any other canvas. I have step by step instructions on how to reverse a canvas in THIS blog post here! Basically, you just use an X-acto knife to slice around the canvas and remove it from the frame.
Once the canvas is off, stain the wood frame with Antique Wax or stain.
Cut the white canvas to fit the frame, and then glue it to the back, so that the frame is in the front, and the canvas is on the back. This is where the term “reverse” comes from!
You can use an already made Pom Pom, or you can make one with yarn and a Pom Pom Maker. You can also make a Pom Pom using a piece of cardboard!
Glue the pom pom to the front as the red nose, and then draw two ovals for eyes with a Sharpie.
Now, time to make some antlers out of sticks. Just glue them on in any fashion that looks antler-ish LOL!
Last, cut a strip of ribbon to go across the front as a collar, and string one silver bell onto it front and center.
Glue a piece of twine to the top back so that it has a hanger for your tree or your wall, and you’re done!
