Oh Hey BOO! Make an easy and adorable Dollar Tree Ghost with a Boo Banner to jazz up your DIY Halloween decor. But this isn’t your traditional orange and black Halloween craft, it’s got all the colors of the rainbow, and it can be made on a budget!
We make a ton of easy and affordable DIY Holiday projects in my private crafting group, The CRafterparty, but this one is extra special to me because it’s got *all the colors* of the rainbow. Not just any ‘ole rainbow though. What I call the “Lisa Frank Rainbow”.
If you don’t know who Lisa Frank is than I’m pretty sure you’re too young to be reading this blog…..just kidding!
Instead of buying a Halloween centerpiece on your next Home Goods or Hobby Lobby run, why not try making one for a fraction of the price!? I can show you how!

This project started with an already finished Halloween ghost piece from Dollar Tree that we decided to completely redo. It was cute to begin with….but it’s REALLY cute after I got my hands on it!
One of the things about The CRafterparty group is that sometimes people can’t always get the exact supplies that I use. And that’s not a problem at all! I always encourage my Party People to improvise and use what they have or can find. And when all else fails….use cardboard! I love cardboard and my Mantra is “Cardboard is King!”
So for those that aren’t able to find a wooden ghost, I traced mine and made it into a template that you can use to cut and print. Voila!
Since I went with a rainbow theme for this Dollar Tree Ghost with Boo Banner,I made her a girl of course. I gave her big sparkly eyes with eyelashes and pink rosy cheeks.
No girl ghost would be complete without a cute messy rainbow bow.
The Dollar Tree wooden square surface that I used came with the half wood bead hanger you see below, so I lucked out and kept that as my hanger. If yours doesn’t, than you’d need to add or make a hanger.
I made an easy burlap pendant banner in a rainbow theme, but if you’re not into the Halloween rainbow you can stick with traditional orange, black, green, and purple of course.
I just love this cutie batootie Dollar Tree Ghost with Rainbow BOO Banner!
This project can be made in sooooo many different ways depending on your style, and what colors you use to decorate for Halloween. I myself prefer a more Black and White theme OR I like to do colorful rainbow, which is what I did here!
As always…be inspired to make it your own and if you need a little help, come join us in The CRafterparty!
