If you’ve got a wood surface, some scrapbook paper, and some small wood beads you’ve got what you need to make this gorgeous Scrapbook Paper Sunflower with leopard print petals! This DIY decor is a statement piece in any home that will leave people asking “Where did you buy that!”
I am little bit (ok a lotta bit) obsessed with how this Leopard Print Scrapbook Paper Sunflower turned out. It’s the first craft that I made IN my new apartment, FOR my new apartment ( I made a Sunflower Rusty Utensil Jar for my new place before I actually moved)
I have wanted a “Sunflower Living Room” for as long as I can remember. I had even been collecting sunflower theme decor pieces for 2 years before I even knew that I was moving.
So as soon as I got in to my new apartment last month, I got to work right away on making things I love to decorate my home!
As soon as I finished this Scrapbook Paper Sunflower I knew right away that I was going on my Sunflower Gallery Wall! I am so loving the Leopard print accents I’ve added into the room.
This project was inspired by one of my crafty friends on Facebook, Carol, who sent me a picture of hers. I knew as soon as I saw it that I’d want to make a version of my own, so that I did.

How to Make a Scrapbook Paper Leopard Sunflower
I made this Scrapbook Paper Leopard Sunflower on video, so you can WATCH it or click on the picture right below.
Since this Scrapbook Paper Sunflower was made live, I don’t have step by step photos but I will walk you through the process.
I found my surface at Target, it was a decor sign and I just repurposed it for this craft. It already had the hanger on it and everything!
Chances are you don’t have this same surface so you can use any wooden surface that you have in your stash. I painted the entire background black, except for the frame/border which was already that tan color so I left that as is.
Next I cut the petals out. I cut 20 total, 15 Sunflower scrapbook paper and 5 Leopard print. You can find any template for Sunflower petals free on Google or you can hand draw them yourself.
Next, fold them in half and crease them in the middle. I then took a paint brush and used Antique Wax to “grunge them up” to give them the vibe I was going for which was old and dingy.
Now, begin to hot glue them down and around in the shape of a sunflower one by one, making sure to evenly spread out the leopard print petals.
Next I stained a bunch of small wood beads with Antique Wax and then put a generous amount of Mod Podge to the center to glue them down. Once they were dry enough, I spread Mod Podge over the top to seal them in.
Since it already had the wire hanger, that was it! If you’re surface doesn’t have a hanger you can use twine, string, or make a wood bead hanger to coordinate with the center. If you have wire that of course works too!
