A Gallery Wall is a fabulous space to express your personality, create a vibe in your home, and to have some fun with decorating. Which is exactly what I did with this Sunflower Gallery Wall! With a curated collection of pieces from handmade to thrifted, and some leopard print accents, this unique and fun decor is sure to inspire all the Sunflower lovers out there!
I’ve wanted a Gallery Wall for as long as I can remember, so when I finally moved into a bigger home, it was one of the first things I did (well sort of, it’s the first thing I STARTED, but it took me awhile to collect all the pieces).
Let me start by saying that my Sunflower Gallery Wall is 95% done. There are still a couple of tweaks and possible additions that I want to make, but I just couldn’t wait to share.
The pieces on here are from all over the friggin’ place. I’ll do my best to tell you where each is from, and I will link to each thing where you can either buy it or the tutorial to make it where applicable, but many of them were thrifted or gifted to me.
If you’re inspired to design a Sunflower Gallery Wall in your home (or any gallery wall), you’ll just have to go on the hunt for pieces that fit YOUR style and personality, just like I did.
**UPDATE** You see that empty spot over to the right middle? Well I had been waiting for the perfect piece to fill that spot and I finally have just the thing! I made over a Crown Frame from Goodwill and it fits there absolutely perfectly. Here it is in place!

Let’s Design and Decorate a Sunflower Gallery Wall
Before I started, I had to decide which wall I was going to do it on. I had 3 options. The one I chose of course, and then a HUGE wall over top of my TV stand, then a more narrow wall that I could have done vertically top to bottom. Ultimately I thought it would look best over the couch, and you can see it right when you walk in the front door as well.
Here it is as a blank slate…
Once I decided on the wall, I started to lay the pieces out on the floor and just kept moving them around, fitting them together like a puzzle until I liked how they looked. And then, I moved them around some more LOL!
Once I was happy with what I had, and was confident that the layout would fit on my wall, I took a picture so that I could remember as I was putting each piece up one by one. Here was my final layout before starting to hang those bad boys up!
I did end up switching a few things from how I had it on the floor, as you can see.
I did break out the measuring tape just to be extra sure it would fit with ample space on each side. I didn’t want it to be flush up against the ceiling, couch, and side wall. I measured how far from the outer edge to the center of the huge main sunflower, so that I could determine where that largest piece should go, and then built out from there.
Just about everything you see here was hung with Command Strips, and the center big sunflower had no place for the strips, so I used 2 Command Hooks. A select few (like the cast iron skeleton key)I had to resort to good ‘ole hammer n’ nails.
So let’s start with the main piece…..the GIANT Sunflower tin frame. The Sunflower itself is like a nice foam material that came from Michaels Stores spring collection in 2022 (prob on clearance), and the large tin sign is a thrift store find for $2.50.
The tin sign is actually super light, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to paint the yellow front part of it or leave it as is. Clearly I decided to leave as is and just glue the large sunflower right to the front, because I really liked how you can see the french writing peeking out from behind it. I may even decide to add a little Antique Gold Rub n’ Buff to the frame to bring out some of the details (one of the many possible tweaks I may make to my wall!)
Moving over to the top left of the main piece, we have a few of my fave pieces (who am I kidding they are ALL my fave!). I wanted to include some family photos, but I didn’t want it to be overwhelming, so I decided on the boys school photos in nice frames from (I THINK) Marshalls. This one is my Maddy Poo, AKA Maddox.
Of course I had to add some leopard print accents in! Both the ones you see here, the Sunflower and the “LAUGH” were handmade by me. You can watch the Facebook Live replay to see how I made the Leopard Scrapbook Paper Sunflower, as well as how I decoupaged a napkin to the LAUGH.
I really tried to stay with handmade, thrifted, or something I have had on hand, but sometimes you just can’t resist a cute piece on good ‘ole Amazon! Both the Cast Iron Skeleton Key as well as the Galvanized Metal Sunflower letters (all 3 of them- J / A / M ) were gifted to me as housewarming gifts from my amazing crafty AF Facebook family (Sue is actually Family!)
Thank you to Bridget and Sue!
Moving down to The Edinburgh Evening Courant sunflower vintage newspaper pic, this was another one of those Michaels Spring Collection finds. I had been collecting things for my “Sunflower Living Room” for years before I actually moved. THIS was the piece that started and inspired this entire Sunflower Gallery Wall!
This next piece falls into the 5% “Not Done” category. I really only want this piece for the hook, so that I can hang wood bead garlands and other pieces from it. Let’s face it, it’s a Dollar Tree piece and it really just doesn’t belong with its shiny cheesy gold. I tried to rough it up and antique it a bit, and although it’s better, it’s still not what I’m looking for.
Once I come up with what I want to do with it, it shall receive the makeover it deserves! I’ll be sure to show you when I do. The garland hanging from it now is also a place holder for one I haven’t yet made.
This next one, the Faux Galvanized Metal Heart Tree, is definitely the #FanFave of the wall! This was made by me Live for our first in the series called “Copycat or Floppycat” where I attempt to make things that we see in stores for much less. This one was DEF a Copycat and you can get the full tutorial for that HERE.
To the right of that gorgeous Family Tree, we have another Sunflower Letter J, along with Justice’s school photo in the same (Marshalls?) frame as Maddox’s. The “FAMILY” is a word from another picture frame set that I don’t have up on this wall.
The small round mirror is actually another Dollar Tree item! But this one I really love, doesn’t it totally look like it was thrifted? The color is what got me, and you really can’t have a Gallery Wall without a mirror.
Last but not least in this photo is the absolutely uh-maz-ing crackle frame that I found while thrifting. This was a set that I found, and you’ll see the other one on the far right of the wall. As much as I LOVE the frame, I don’t love the picture in the center, so yet another thing that I will be tweaking to make my Sunflower Gallery Wall complete.
Back up to the top, we have the “Serrurier” french vintage clock, also thrifted. I found out that it says “Locksmith” in french, Cool right!? The chunky vintage picture frame to the right was also thrifted for $2, but you can see from the pic inside it that it came from Michaels. This frame will hold the 3rd and final family photo, and it will be of me AND the boys in this one. I’ve just got to pick one out and get it printed!
The little wine cork hot plate was also thrifted for $1, and totally random. But I don’t know, I just liked it. I may or may not glue something to the front of it. A Sunflower perhaps!? You can never have enough Sunflowers on a Sunflower Gallery Wall!
Another stunning Housewarming gift that was given to me by Desiree is this gorgeous with a capital ‘G’ Sunflower Leopard canvas print. I contemplated if this should be on the gallery wall, or if it deserved wall space all of its own, but ultimately due to it’s size I thought it worked best right here where I have it, and I couldn’t be any more in love.
I love love love this cracked wooden shelf that I found thrifting as well. I knew right away that it was going on my wall. The “ACHIEVE” block and little Sunflower are just kind of sitting up there temporarily until I find something that I want to put on the ledge (I guess I need to go thrifting again, boo hoo).
Once I find the perfect item, I will find another home on the wall for these two! The Sunflower was also gifted to me by one of my Crafty friends, thanks Sue!
Finishing off the decor we have a “HOME” print that was personalized with me and the boys names by yet another Crafty friend, Theresa. Under that is the other of the cracked frames, and a metal art sunflower on top of a teal hot plate.
***UPDATE*** right above that HOME sign and right under my Sunflower canvas (on the right middle side) was this tiny empty spot that was in need of something special. I made over a Crown Frame from the thrift store and it is the perfect addition!
I added a couple of Old Vintage Doorknobs as well.
Here it is in all it’s glory!
How stunning does it look with the Sunflower Leopard Home Decor on the left end table that we made in The CRafterparty?

Your wall looks beautiful Amanda! It pops and has unique pieces so that everything flatters & compliments each other. You have done a great job placing & spacing your items. My favorites are of course my gift, the keys, the vintage clock and the sconce. Enjoy your gallery.
