How to Make a Terra Cotta Pot Gingerbread & Snowman
I made these Terra Cotta Pot Christmas Characters on video. So you can WATCH the tutorial by clicking below.
These are soooooo super easy to make, you don’t even need a tutorial but I’ll give you one anyway.
First things first, paint your terra cotta pots and your wood beads. For the Gingerbread you’ll paint one larger wood bead for the head, and two smaller wood beads for the arms. My beads were 25mm and 17mm and I mixed up a light brown color using dark brown and white.
Go ahead and glue them onto your Terra Cotta Pot using hot glue, and then take a small white paint brush and make the white squiggles around the head, arms and bottom of her body. Use a fine tip Sharpie to draw on her face, and dry brush some pink for her cheeks.
For the Snowman, you will just need to paint the larger bead for the head since he doesn’t have arms.
Just like you did for the gingerbread man, use a sharpie and draw on his eyes and mouth, a thin paint brush for his orange carrot nose, and dry brush some pink cheeks.
Tie a fabric shoestring bow and glue to the top of the gingys head, and then glue on a couple buttons and she’s done!
Tie a strip of fabric around the snowman neck as the scarf, and wrap a small square around his head for a hat, and tie off the top with twine. Glue a small jingle bell for decoration and Voila! Terra Cotta Pot Gingerbread and Snowman!
How darn cute do these look with that OH DEER sign we made in the background?!
