Do you have an item that you got at a Thrift store that you absolutely had to have, but has been sitting in your garage or craft room for months (or years) just waiting to be re-fabbed? That was this metal Pineapple Welcome Sign for me! You’re not gonna believe the before and after, this is one Thrift Store Flip you are NOT gonna want to miss!
I always do that and I buy these things with the best of intentions, but then they sit there until I get the inspiration and motivation to do something with them. I’m sure you can relate!
Sometimes I have to literally cut myself off from going to the thrift store in order to finally get my booty in gear. I’ll say to myself “you can go and get more things, once you do something this one, that one, and another one”. So that’s my motivation!
I had a friend coming into town the following weekend and I knew she was going to want to go thriftin’. So I made a deal with myself, if I fix up this metal Pineapple Welcome Sign and the chunky black candlestick, then I’m allowed to buy more things! Hey, don’t judge! It works!
This post is to inspire you to get out those old thrift store finds that you’ve been hiding in the back of your garage for a year and give them the makeover they deserve! Of course you probably won’t find this exact same metal pineapple welcome sign that I have here, so I am just here to show you how you can turn something dull and boring into something vibrant and full of life with just a little bit of paint and some ribbon!
If you love Pineapples as much as I do, make sure to check out the Dollar Tree Pineapple frame I just made last week too. I’m on quite the Pineapple kick lately. Have you heard the “rumor” about what Pineapples mean when hung outside your door? Someone JUST told me this and now I’m worried to hang this up. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, Google it! That’s all I have to say about that.
