There’s nothing more fun, funky, and creative than a vintage thrift store gumball machine repainted and decorated for Valentines Day! Filled with pink, red, and silver hearts, this statement decor piece proves that Love is in the Air!
I love decorating in a fun and funky- non traditional- way. Some may say I’m “extra” (and proud if it!)
So it may not come as a surprise that I grabbed this Vintage Gumball machine from the thrift store the second I saw it! It was traditional red when I got it, but of course I decided to give it a bit of a makeover before decorating it for each Holiday.
Make sure to check out the transformation to see how I took this thrift store flip from boring to beautiful!
The best part about this vintage gumball machine is that is can be decorated over and over for any season or holiday. I think my fave was decorating it in alllllll Sunflowers last summer, and of course I dressed it up from head to toe for Christmas too!(or maybe I should say bottom to top)
But for now, it’s Valentines Day, so let’s see it!

How to Decorate a Gumball Machine for Valentines Day
The possible ways to decorate your Vintage Gumball Machine are endless but I decided to keep it simple! I think next year I will had some red and white wood beads to dangle from the top.
I can’t wait until we move into a bigger house so that I have more room and opportunity to decorate and get fun inspirational pics for you guys! But until then, this one will have to do. Just imagine it in a big beautifully decorated front porch, with cute heart pillows on a bench, and a black, red, and white striped Welcome mat at my pitch black big front door……
I can’t wait to decorate my Vintage Gumball Machine again for Fall! This will be my first time adding little pumpkins inside, so stay tuned for that makeover.
