Take a simple “Happy Fall” Vintage Bicycle Napkin and turn it into this beautiful mini Tobacco Basket decor for under $5. The elegant burlap bow with the wood flower is just what you need to take your fall decor up a notch this year
We’re knee deep in the fall crafts and decor over here and now that it’s almost Halloween, I’ll be switching over to Christmas any day now! But not before I share this stinkin’ adorable “Happy Fall” Vintage Bicycle Tobacco Basket with you!
When I saw this mini tobacco basket on clearance at Hobby Lobby I grabbed it immediately, but to be honest I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it for a while. It’s pretty small. Like 5×5″ small, but it’s #OhSoCute.
Same thing with the fabulous “Happy Fall” Vintage bicycle cocktail napkins that I scored at Marshall’s. Side note: Marshall’s has some super cute napkins for fall, so I’m expecting some Christmas ones to be out soon, keep your eye out! But anyway, I wasn’t exactly sure how I would use these napkins in my crafts and decor, but I was sure I’d find a way! And that I did……

Supplies Needed to make a Vintage Bicycle Fall Tobacco Basket
How to Make a Fall Vintage Bicycle Tobacco Basket Decor
I made this beautiful Fall Tobacco Basket on video, so you can WATCH the step by step tutorial HERE or click on the picture right below.
This Fall Vintage Bicycle Tobacco Basket was so super easy to make that you almost don’t even need a tutorial! But of course I’ll walk you through how I made it anyway.
First things first, rip the napkin around the bicycle image so that you have a jaggedy ripped edge. You don’t have to do this, but that was the look I was going for and I totally love it. I do want to say that I did NOT separate the Plys of this napkin like you would with a normal decoupage project. I did NOT want the napkin to be see through, so I kept the 3 plys in tact.
Once your napkin is all ripped up, go ahead and Mod Podge that baby to the inside center of the tobacco basket.
Next make a super simple burlap bow. I just made a large loop with about an 8 inch long piece of burlap and glued the ends to make a circle. Pinch it together in the center and tie a piece of twine around it. Then glue on a couple pieces of Lambs Ear, some little sprigs, and a Wooden Flower and Voila!
The burlap bow is simple and perfect and elegant and oh so easy to make.
You can set your Fall Vintage Bicycle Tobacco Basket on a bookshelf like I did here, and you wouldn’t even need a hanger.
Or you can add a piece of Twine across the back and hang it on the wall like I did here. This mini Tobacco Basket would look adorable on a Gallery Wall too!
