With Halloween fast approaching, it’s time to get into the spooky spirit, and what better way than with a DIY nature craft! These Halloween Pine Cones are so cute, they can’t possibly be scary. A perfect Halloween craft for the kids, and all you need is a few supplies! I’ts a Pine Cone SpOOktakular!
We love crafting with Pine Cones in this house, so it’s no surprise these Halloween Pine Cones were the first on the crafting scene this year. Pine Cones are most known for their Christmas crafting skills, but they hold so much untapped craft potential for year round projects!
Which brings me to Exhibit A…The Pine Cone Halloween Character Crew. This nature craft makes the perfect DIY Halloween decorations that can be made with supplies found in your own backyard. Pine Cones are like little fallen craft soldiers just waiting to be rescued to their fate. Ok, a little dramatic but ya get my point?!
Now if you are not an avid Pine Cone crafter like me, than you may not know that you can’t just grab a cone off the ground and bring it straight to the craft table. Well you can, but you’ll have a nice family of creepy crawlys to talk to while you craft. I mean it is after all a Halloween pine cone craft, but I’m willing to bet you prefer your spiders plastic!
If you don’t know how to clean and prepare your Pine Cones for crafting, don’t worry, I wrote an entire post with the exact steps I take to bake the bugs out, and as an added bonus leave you with BOOtifully blOOmed cones!

If you aren’t lucky enough to live in an area where you can collect pine cones right in your own backyard, don’t worry you can buy them on Etsy, or even good ‘ol Amazon.

Pine Cone Mummy
This Pine Cone Mummy was the first one to get wrapped up in this series. He is not only the cutest and least creepy, but he was the quickest and easiest to make too. I’m not sure why I decided he’s a “he”, but this Pine Cone will be preserved for many Halloweens to come!
Pine Cone Ghost
The Pine Cone Ghost will put the BOO in BOOtiful with this adorable kids nature craft! This one is a fun and easy way to scare all of the other goblins away! I think I saw a ghost!
